Central to EMHIP is the role of communities and the unlocking of their capabilities and resources to be at the centre of change and improvement processes.

Hubs

Community Anchor Organisations, representative of our diverse and multicultural communities will be supported to to act as Health & Well Being Hubs

Spokes

Each Hub linked and connected to a network of voluntary, faith and community groups, schools, youth clubs and local businesses, increasing that surround increasing the range of access points to support and services

Mobilise

Creating opportunities for a wide range of assets and capabilities across each area to mobilise their people and resources to act as hives of information sharing and connectivity

Facilitate

Facilitating people in their own groups and network to contribute in whatever way that works for them, increasing our collective ability to reach and serve

Colloborate

Working collaboratively with mental health and primary care services, to transform early intervention and prevention through community-led coproduction

Health and Wellbeing Hub Central

Tooting

Sometimes referred to as ‘mother church,’ NTA Tooting has provided a model of excellence, innovation and leadership to the other branches and beyond. Their 800 seated high tech sanctuary host several conferences and conventions throughout the year. And whilst historically it represents a landmark for the achievement of the Caribbean Diaspora in the UK, it also serves as a worship centre and house of prayer for all nations and diversity.

Nine Elms

The organisation Elays (beacon of light) Network, was founded in 2003 to provide a community support structure for young people and students at risk of school exclusion, not in employment, education or training. Elays Network today works with a variety of ages and backgrounds within the community providing a network of support to the Wandsworth community and surrounding areas. 

Wimbeldon

The Shree Ghanapathy Temple is one of the most innovative Hindu Temples of its kind. Since their opening in 1981 they have developed an unparalleled approach to serving the Hindu community in London whilst also contributing and supporting the multi-cultural and diverse country that they live in.

The Charity evolved as a front-room grassroots organisation in the early nineties when a group of Muslim women shared concerns about the plight of women, children and the elderly experiencing social exclusion, isolation and a range of unmet needs. Some had lost the traditional supportive influences of the extended family as a result of family breakdown, patterns of migration and urban city life.

Deeper Christian Life Ministry is a Pentecostal Christian church which services a large West African community. It is based in the historic Transformation House building in Clapham Junction, with its international headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria.

Established in 1972 they were the first mosque in Tooting. Their facilities cater for both Males and Females. Services they provide include daily salat, madrassah, marriages and many more. Inlcuding full Wudu facilities.

The centre is a focal point of the Local Community. The mosque represents a rich, diverse mix of cultures. Worshippers consist of Individuals from some of the following backgrounds: Afro-Caribbean, Algerians, Bangladeshi, Egyptian, English, Eritrean, Indian, Irish, Moroccan, Pakistani, Scottish, Somalian, Turkish and Welsh. 

At Islamic Culture & Education Centre, they are passionate about developing the skills of the local community and the young people they serve. They believe that everyone should have a voice.

 

Battersea

With their unique team of experienced youth workers, educators, musicians, counsellors, trained dancers and media specialists they are able to support individuals and provide targeted programmes to encourage each young person to develop their individual skills and talents.

EMCA is a charity, which was founded in 1989 to meet the social, welfare and cultural/religious needs of the growing number of Eritrean immigrants to the United Kingdom, EMCA serves a large number of Eritreans in the UK.
